Nic has been a family lawyer since 2008 and is admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.  He was a Principal of a premiere West Australian family law firm before establishing Fahey Mwenda D'Adamo with Sam and Kay in September 2018.  

Nic has extensive experience in all areas of family law, including -

• financial cases including matters involving businesses, valuation disputes, trust and corporate structures, third party claims, superannuation splitting, deceased estates and estates under plenary administration;

• matters involving Binding Financial Agreements;

• parenting matters including representation in contested court proceedings; 

• child support matters including Binding Child Support Agreements and international child support issues; and

• restraining order proceedings.

Nic gives clear and measured advice with a focus on outcome and conflict resolution. He is well equipped to provide advice in all areas of family law and where required, court representation including interim hearings and trial.  He has previously appeared as counsel at trial and instructed counsel (a barrister) in appeals.  Nic regularly works with some of Perth's leading barristers.

As with all of the directors at Fahey Mwenda D'Adamo, Nic enjoys working closely with his clients to achieve cost effective outcomes and is often able to help them resolve their matters without court intervention.  Nic's focus is on providing a personalized service that is sensitive to the particular needs of each of his clients.
